U.N. to teach masturbation and orgasms in schoolsMarch 19, 2011 No Comments
In case you haven’t heard the request for the U.N. to teach masturbation and orgasms in schools …
We pulled facts from very opinioned articles and have provided links that you can use as tools.
The National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG’s) studies research sexual behavior – anything from simple attraction to sexual identity -. NSFG’s questionnaires are supported by government via the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
Some say sex studies from a variety of entities are redefining the family, sexual mores and gender roles. There is even a book (study) citing that romantic love can itself be considered a mental illness (British psychologist Frank Tallis – Love Sick: Love as a Mental Illness).
Why is this a blip on the screen? Diane Schneider, who has an affiliation with the NEA stated at a U.N. hearing recently that since various sex studies, possibly from the ones mentioned above, supported the notion of sexual ignorance by students it behooved the UN to call for mandatory, international participation in sex ed courses, out of concern for misguided teachings from religious organizations and the family.
Schneider was heard to have said comprehensive sex education is “the only way to combat heterosexism and gender conformity,” Schneider proclaimed, “and we must make these issues a part of every middle and high-school student’s agenda.” “Gender identity expression and sexual orientation are a spectrum,” she explained, and said that those opposed to homosexuality “are stuck in a binary box that religion and family create.”
“Oral sex, masturbation, and orgasms need to be taught in education,” Diane Schneider stated to a panel on combating homophobia and transphobia. Schneider, advocated for more “inclusive” sex education in US schools, with curricula based on hetero and homosexual expression. She claimed that the idea of sex education remains an oxymoron if it is abstinence-based, or if students are still able to opt-out.
So who is Ms. Schneider? She is a Health Teacher at Ramapo High http://www.eram.k12.ny.us/education/staff/staff.php?sectionid=1784& – she is supportive of the local GLSEN group in her area.
At the same event a Belgian panelist explained it necessary to have government support when educating about anti-discrimination issues. He shared how “positive, pro-LGBT policies in Belgian schools are a direct consequence of liberal and open-minded legislation in Belgium,” he also mentioned teachers in Belgium use “gender in the blender” programs that assist teachers in discussing gender and transgender issues in their courses.
A panel partly sponsored by the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) advocated for “comprehensive sex education” not only as a tool to combat “gender oppression,” but also as the key to achieving Millennium Development Goals. UNESCO’s guidelines (which have been posted on Political Mercenaries) on Sex Education and new IPPF (IPPF’s guidelines will be posted soon on Political Mercenaries)-sponsored curriculum as the gold standard for comprehensive sex education. Both curriculums promote sex diversity and masturbation..
