Yep it’s true, Mass. School Officials Won’t Let Students Voluntarily Recite Pledge of Allegiance!

A young high school freshman Sean Harrington was successful in getting United States flags re-installed in his local high school but the Pledge of a Allegiance will not be reinstated. The Arlington, Mass. school committee’s vote to reinstate the Pledge of Allegiance ended in a 3-3 tie, this meant the 700 signatures, which included Federal Lawmakers, teachers and students, could not change the stance of the ruling officials. The request was rejected because some educators were concerned that it would be difficult to find teachers willing to recite the Pledge and even though the recitation of the Pledge would have been voluntary the school committee claimed they didn’t feel comfortable forcing employees to state it. Yet, with these words “To require all persons in the United States between the ages of 18 and 42 to perform national service, either as a member of the uniformed services or in civilian service…” there has been, in comparison, very little mentioned.
